LV Recruitment are delighted to be supporting with the recruitment of a Reporting Accountant to join a small finance team based in Oxford.

This is a rare opportunity to join a highly regarded business and provide management accounting services during these challenging and rapidly changing times. The Reporting Accountant will use the outputs from the finance system and provide clear and precise financial and operational reporting to all stakeholders.

The role:

• Produce high quality first draft quarterly management accounts
• Run the annual budget process
• Increase the frequency of management accounts production from quarterly to monthly
• Regularly communicate financial performance to budget holders, providing support and challenge to optimise financial performance
• Produce relevant analysis and business cases for major financial decisions.
• provide clear and precise financial and operational reporting to all stakeholders.
• Review the current format and content of the management accounts and recommend appropriate changes.
• Lead or participate in other finance related projects.

Experience & Essentials:

• A qualified accountant who has a strong track record of producing management accounts, analysis, and forecasts with a commercial focus.
• customer focussed and with excellent communication skills
• Experience of working in a small finance team
• Ability to produce management accounts
• Proven analytical skills
• Experience of budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to identify opportunities to reduce revenues and costs
• Proven ability to become proficient in new, unfamiliar finance software packages
• Good ‘A’ level results and first degree

This is a permanent and full-time position (37.5 hours per week) although part time will be considered. The salary ranges from £51.5k to £56.6k pro rata per annum depending on qualifications and experience. You will be required to be onsite for 3 days per week with a potential for remote working for the additional days if on a full-time contract.
