We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and talented Head of Engineering to join the London-based management team of a growing SAAS business with a global client list and fantastic backing from world-class investors.
This Head of Engineering role represents a fantastic opportunity to progress your career, report directly to the CEO, contribute to board-level decisions while growing and leading a high-performing engineering team
You will be tasked with leading the technical direction of the product, ship and maintain features and alongside the CEO, together, you will build an outstanding engineering team around you.
What you will do:
Lead the engineering strategy execution and help set high-quality standards for our product delivery
Operate and scale the platform and its infrastructure
Manage and grow a high-performing engineering team
Actively contribute and help drive the roadmap
Ensure that everyone meets our product quality and code security standards
Develop a solid understanding of our customers, our target markets and their challenges
Manage performance reviews, evolve the team structure and marketing capabilities as we progress through different growth stages
Oversee quarterly planning for our product and engineering team, including setting budgets, defining KPIs and focus areas
Help promote a creative, rewarding and results-driven culture

What makes you a great fit for the role
You have previously recruited, led and coached an engineering team
You strategise and execute on your own as well as through others
In spite of your architecture-level experience and development practices, you still keep your hands on technology and can contribute to codebases and/or review code confidently
Your teams drive product quality via solid unit, integration and end-to-end testing
Willingness to engage with customers, learn about their jobs-to-be-done and incorporate those learnings into the product and technology
High-quality standards, exceptional attention to detail and a sense of urgency
You have great stakeholder management and communication skills and can participate in board-level discussions
Fluent/native English speaker
