JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Manager, Maintenance Manager, Mechanical Engineer - CNC
Based at our Milton Keynes site youll be responsible for managing and developing our service function, improving efficiencies and profitability of the department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Service Manager, Maintenance Manager, Mechanical Engineer - CNC
· Service Management of a small CNC Maintenance / Service team.
· Developing and implementing procedures and standards to increase efficiency within the Service department.
· Booking / managing the service resource, people management and recruitment for the service department.
You will also provide remote technical support / troubleshooting - reacting to customer enquiries and will occasionally go out to client sites.
Working with our customers, you’ll also provide updates related to client breakdown status / service maintenance schedule etc.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Service Manager, Maintenance Manager, Mechanical Engineer - CNC
· Youll have some hands on experience with CNC machinery - ideally from a maintenance / service background, but experience as a setter / operator / programmer would suffice. Basically - if you know your way around a CNC machine youre in a good spot.
· Multi-skilled but mechanically biased service engineer / service manager OR maintenance engineer / maintenance manager who knows what a well-run service / maintenance operation looks like and wants to implement those standards whilst running our service department.
· Good communication skills (clients / colleagues) and ideally some experience of mentoring / managing engineers.
