BASIC SALARY: £65,000 - £75,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Head of Finance and Operations - Heavy Plant / Construction
As the Head of Finance & Operations your focus will be to manage the companys finance, business administration & operations including IT, HR, Health & Safety and compliance. This is a very hands-on role and will suit someone who comes from a strong finance background with an appreciation of how the numbers are used to shape a developing business.
Reporting directly to the UK Managing Director your key tasks will be to:
· Support the Managing Director with the day to day running of the business and delivering the company strategy.
· Directly manage the finance function and associated team members.
· Oversee staffing, operations, company audit, external partners, regulatory affairs and financial planning and analysis.
· Be the main first contact for ALL staff to ensure optimal daily running of the company.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Head of Finance and Operations - Heavy Plant / Construction
Ultimately, you will be an excellent communicator used to managing many different projects and wearing many hats. You will also be able to demonstrate success as a Senior Operations Manager / Finance Director / Commercial Director / General Manager, ideally within a technical or engineering environment for a growing SME, as well as being:
· A hands-on operator with excellent finance skills (ideally ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified but QBE will also be considered) and a rounded business acumen.
· A candidate who sees the importance of documenting robust processes and is comfortable implementing and working towards structured SOPs.
· Excited by the prospect of working on multiple projects at once. Adaptability and tenacity are traits this role demands.
· A keen team player who is enthused by order and discipline as well as having a commercial awareness and business acumen.
· Knowledge of FORS (Fleet Operator Regulation Scheme) would be beneficial but full training will be provided.
