Bridge InspectorEssex£37,000 + Van & Fuel We are currently seeking a Bridge Inspector on behalf of our Highways and Maintenance clients to be based in Essex, covering the county with a salary up to £37,000 plus van and fuel card.
Responsibilities- Working safely and diligent identification of defects
- Input defect information and photographs into the bridge inspection database
- Undertaking Principal Inspection of highway structures
- Preparation of Defect Sketches and Photo Location Plans as a Bridge Inspector
- Immediate reporting of safety defects
- As A Bridge Inspector you will be giving accurate identification and reporting of defects
- General Inspection of highway structures in the role as Bridge Inspector
- Produce well-presented and accurate reports and sketches.
Requirements- Good understanding of structural behaviour
- County wide travel and a full driving licence is essential
- Detailed knowledge of inspection codes and standards
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or demonstrable equivalent on job learning
- Produce well-presented and accurate reports and sketches
- Ability to work in water and at height
- Good IT skills – familiar with MS Office Word and Excel
- Working towards LANTRA Bridge Inspector Certification Scheme (NHSS31)
